Our Company

History & Profile of Project Aluminium Ltd:

Project aluminium Ltd established in 1973 grew from the original family Shopfitting and joinery company, started in the early 1960’s through the original and still current chairman Mr Ron Watson, through the late 1960 & 1970’s we designed new dies to start our shopfront and door systems and after many years servicing the Shopfitting/Retail industry we went on to establish our name in the mid-eighties within the construction industry offering more varied systems purchased from recognised systems suppliers of curtain walling and commercial window systems with thermally broken sections, over the years this has allowed our company to supply and install some of the market leading architectural glazing systems i.e. Comar, Schuco, Reynaers, Sapa and Smart systems whilst not losing our roots in the Shopfitting/retail trade this allowed us to move on to larger contracts with installation of curtain walling, windows & doors to office, factory and residential buildings along with schools, hospitals, and many other types of buildings whether being new build or being refurbished. Project Aluminium Ltd is still very much a family business now following down to a third generation of sons and with other family members within the company it shows our commitment to the business and to push forward with new ideas and systems to help keep us ahead of the pack.

From our experienced team of contract management staff we know that we can put forward many years of our experience to advise on the best system for any particular job that requires a design input to back this up we have in house Cad design facilities and will work closely with the designer/architect to fine tune the specification to meet the requirements of the client.

The majority of the products that we offer are manufactured at our factory in Warlingham, Surrey. We have been based at this address since 1976 and before that we were based in Bromley in Kent where we first started the manufacturing of the aluminium glazing systems in the late 1960’s.

We also offer a supply only of all these manufactured products to the trade which forms a substantial amount of the business that goes through our factory, again our expertise within the industry allows us to help and advise the smaller companies with the best system to use and to put forward a detailed drawing to back this advice up. In 2005 Project aluminium Ltd took over the Watson specialist Shopfitting Company and has kept the joinery division under the new name of Project Joinery forming a new division to our business within the original factory unit that is adjacent to the main aluminium fabrication unit that is still producing specialised bespoke joinery for the trade as it has done for the past 50 years this has proven to be a major factor with some clients who see this as combining a more complete package.
